What does leaving your cloud cost?
Enter how much data you move and see the egress bill at list price, whether AWS, Azure or Google Cloud waive it under their exit programs, and what the EU Data Act allows. Then fill in the switching notice for your provider. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
The short version
- AWS waives egress when you move all your data off AWS, or all data of one service. Ask AWS Support first; EU customers can switch under the AWS EU Data Act Addendum.
- Azure credits up to 60 days of egress once you leave and cancel all subscriptions.
- Google Cloud waives it when a whole service moves and its agreement is terminated. For partial moves, EU customers can use Data Transfer Essentials.
- From 12 January 2027 providers may not charge EU customers for switching at all, egress included. Running on two clouds in parallel can still be charged at cost.
Prices come from the EU Cloud Price Index; exit program conditions link to each provider's page. The code is open: github.com/moveinfra/cloud-switching-kit.
